Mr. Jackson is excited to join the Maumelle Band staff as Head High School Director this upcoming school year.
Mr. Jackson comes to us from North Little Rock High School where served as the Assistant Band Director. He assisted with “The Tradition of North Little Rock” Marching Band, directed the HS Concert Band and HS Jazz Band, and taught AP Music Theory.
Mr. Jackson also served as Director of Bands at the Harmony Grove and Ashdown School Districts. His Harmony Grove HS Band was named and performed as the 2017 ASBOA AA State Honor Band. Mr. Jackson is a proud two-time graduate of Henderson State University. He is an active marching band adjudicator and honor band clinician. Josh is a member and trumpet player of the Stardust Big Band of Hot Springs. Mr. Jackson currently serves as the ASBOA Region I Chair.
Mr. Jackson and his trumpet-playing amazing wife Amy, have 1 dog-Katy, and three cats.
Mr. Michael Williamson
Maumelle High School Assistant Band Director
Michael Williamson is in his 2nd year as band director at Maumelle Middle School and assistant band director at Maumelle High School. Michael has been a "Hornet" for most of his life, living in Maumelle since the age of 6. He graduated from Oak Grove High School and earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Central Arkansas.
Previously, Michael served as the Director of Instrumental Music at Pulaski Heights Middle School for ten years, teaching both band and orchestra. His love for music extends beyond his primary instrument of trombone, as he enjoys learning and teaching many instruments, including the Ukulele.
Michael is a member of the Arkansas School Band and Orchestra Association and has served ASBOA Region 1 both as Secretary/Treasurer and Chairman. Michael has been happily married to his wife, Crystal, for 21 years. They have two children Riley (19) and Delaney (12). Riley, a recent graduate and member of the MHS band, is currently attending The University of Arkansas at Monticello as a member of the marching, concert and jazz bands. Delaney is a member of the MMS Stinger band where she plays the tuba!
Mr. Williamson has been involved with the Maumelle band program for years and can’t wait to begin his journey as a member of the staff.
Mr. Robert Meadows
Maumelle High School Assistant Band Director
Robert Meadows is in his 18th year of teaching. He is a 1997 graduate of Oak Grove High School. Mr. Meadows graduated in 2005 from the University of Central Arkansas where he earned a Bachelor Degree in Music Education as a Euphonium Major. While at UCA, Mr. Meadows studied under Denis Winter, and has studied with notable euphonium musicians such as Steven Mead, Brian Bowman, Demondre Thurman, Tom Stein, and Joe Alessi. In 2005, Mr. Meadows was a National Finalist in the MTNA Young Artist Competition.
Mr. Meadows is in his 11th year teaching at Maumelle Middle School where he teaches Beginning Brass, Beginning Percussion, and the 8th Grade Band. Mr. Meadows is a member of the Epsilon Beta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi. Mr. Meadows has performed with various groups over the years on euphonium, tuba, french horn, and even percussion. He has played with Conway Symphony Orchestra, The River Valley Community Band, the Little Rock Wind Symphony, the North Little Rock Community Band, and the Jacksonville Community Orchestra. He also sings Tenor with Acapella Rising, Arkansas all male Barbershop Ensemble where he currently serves on the Board of Directors. Robert just completed his Masters in Instructional Design and Learning Technology at University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Mr. Meadows wife, Monica, is the Research Associate for STEM +C2 at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in the Jodie Mahony Center for Gifted Education. They have two beautiful daughters, Lisa and Delores. They also have 1 dog - Cici, 2 cats - Socks, and Ash, 1 bearded dragon - Leo, and 1 rabbit - Mocha.
